I finally, finally finished my thesis on Irish Catholic immigration. Phew! It was pretty much consuming my life, but now it is over. I am a lot more knowledgable about Irish American history (and the history of Ireland to an extent) as well as my family history, which is awesome. When my finals are done, I'll try to post the paper online.

So I can't get over how darn beautiful my parent's new house is. The whole area that they live in is stunning. Think Forest Gump/My Girl type landscape. Its just absolutely amazing, and I would live here if I could.

So much going on in the darn off season. I told Stefan last night that if they traded Jorge, I would forever hold it against the Yankees.

Theres nothing else to really say. School is really busy, complicated by the fact that I never want to do any work.

This past weekend, I got to go to Ocean City with Joe and Fr. Charlie, which was nice. We played catch on the beach for a long time and saw a lot of cute puppies. I pet all the pups and had a great time. It was a beautiful weekend weather wise, but we'll see how long that holds up....

More sad news from Yankee land. Tino's option wasn't picked up, and Mo Rivera didn't win the Cy Young. ::sigh::

So I'm writing a seminar paper on the early Catholic Church in America, and find some of the anti-catholicism to be absolutely amazing. There are so many publications on things like "refuting the cunning Jesuit", "popery" and ideas like the Jesuits secretly running the world through the papacy, its absurd to the point of hilarity.

I'll try to post some choice examples here so that you know what exactly I'm talking about, but for now, just take my word that it is the most ridiculous and hilarious stuff ever.
